‘Resource Management in Hospitals 2011’ is a follow-up to a project ’Diagnosis-Related Groups in Europe’ (EuroDRG) and an initiation for any further studies on hospital expenditure and resource overload.
Firstly, any existent material was studied, followed-up by interviews conducted among board members, economists, representatives of doctors and nurses, and finally graphs illustrating financial indicators of various hospitals were drawn to better describe resource management.
Some areas of improvement were described: possibilities of more efficient resource usage and improving resource management, developing cooperation between hospitals and other issues that need government support.
