Moonika joined Praxis as an Analyst in Health programme in October 2023. She has MA in Speech Therapy from University of Tartu and PhD in Professional Sciences, Nursing and Health Sciences from Nord University. During her PhD, she assessed the use of e-Health systems in Scandinavian countries and its impact on elderly well-being.

Moonika has been working in a Department of Neurology in one of the biggest hospitals in Estonia for several years, with adult patients suffering from dysphasia and speech disorders due to stroke. She has more than 10 years of experience in working with elderly people in institutional and outpatient settings in Estonia and Norway. Before joining Praxis, she worked as an Early-Stage Researcher at European research project Innovatedignity, led by University of Brighton. The Innovatedignity project focused on the use of e-Health systems in Europe and its impact on older adults.

She speaks Norwegian and English fluently and Swedish, Danish and German at beginner` level.
