The project aims to evaluate the implementation of the ESF programm "Developing an Educational Counselling System", more specifically how successful has been the establishment of the regional educational counselling centres. The objectives of the project are:
1. evaluate access to counselling services by general education schools and pre-school institutions;
2. evaluate satisfaction with counselling services by general education schools and pre-school institutions;
3. expectations of general education schools and pre-school institutions towards educational counselling centers;
4. access to support services by pupils with special education needs.
The ESF programme “Developing an Educational Counselling System” was set up because currently, educational and psychological counselling is fragmented and not evenly available across the regions. The shortage of support specialists (special education teachers, speech therapists, psychologists, social workers) in schools and kindergartens is a serious problem.
The programme is being implemented and the project is funded by the National Examinations and Qualifications Centre.
