Family and work conflict, work organization and employers support to employees

Using the data from European Social Survey 2008 and Estonian supplementary questionnaire on family and work reconciliation, the analysis concentrates on the family and work conflict and its prevalence in different social demographic groups. The conflict is defined through lack of time. People describe if they have felt that they don’t have sufficient amount of time on family due work responsibilities; that they don’t have enough time to spend on work due family responsibilities  and that family and work responsibilities don’t leave enough time to spend on oneself. The second part of the report gives an overview on the availability of flexible working and working time autonomy and different types of monetary and non-monetary support provided by employers is provided. Final part of the report concentrates on the attitudes and gender roles giving an overview of the general opinion on the roles of men and women regarding family and work.
