Armenian SCOs are active but at the same time weak in their ability to achieve their objectives. Mainly due to lack of sufficient cooperation and networking skills, advocacy ability and public sector’s willingness to treat them as equal partners. Estonia has successfully dealt with these issues for a long time and there is a lot to learn from the experiences of our SCOs and public sector.

The overall aim of the project is to promote good governance, transparency and the role of CSOs in policy making and modern society. Main focus is on:

  • advancing the capacity and ability of Armenian CSOs in advocacy and policy making,
  • establishing and maintaining policy networks and cooperation within civil society and with public sector,
  • evaluating the impact of advocacy activities and to translate their knowledge and ideas into plans.

Praxis cooperates with one of the leading think tanks in Armenia and in this region as a whole, the International Centre for Human Development (ICHD).
